About Me

In today's complex integrated world it can be difficult to see the wood from the trees, simplifying complexity is what I do. Delivering efficiency and business agility by working smarter. Providing enterprise grade solution architecture services to maximise the use of IT infrastructure, Information Systems and Application services utilising cloud & automation based technologies as demonstrated though this website. I am a lateral thinker and have the ability to work in global virtual teams and in Agile delivery environments. I have strong relationship building skills and communicate well with technical and business stakeholders.

Total number of key Projects complete to date 0

For a snapshot of latest work see the recent 6 assignments outlined below.

1. Robotic Process Automation

Transport Shared Services (TSS)

Provisioned July 2019 Serv Model PaaS AWS

TSS was established to streamline and consolidate key transactional functions across HR, Finance, Procurement, Asset and Workplace Services with the objective of enhancing customer experience and improved OPEX efficiency. Capability provided by me in conjunction with key business & technical stakeholders include: RPA vendor selection, end to end Solution Architecture of RPA service. Provision of cloud DEV environment to establish RPA services design and application integration requirements (API). Design of security access and control model for RPA services (Apps) in line with predetermined architectural patterns for on-site and off-shore support and development . Define RPA support and reporting framework. Architecture supported High Availability and Disaster Recovery. Robotic api integration with target on-premise application landscape for SAP, Ariba, Objective, OpenText, Equip, Trim and other supporting applications. Defined 3 stage deployment for Development, System integration Testing and Production utilising infrastructure as code.

2. Re-Platform IVR Technologies

Transport Management Centre

OnLine Sep 2018 Serv Model Baas AWS/Azure/GCP

As part of the Customer Channel Transformation Program (CCTP) initiative, migration, consolidation and optimisation of Transport Management Centre (TMC) utilising updated IVR technologies was implemented due to retirement of legacy systems. In order to provide easier access and future incorporation of other modes of transport call management technologies introduction of mixed cloud architecture was adopted. (ie AWS & Azure) Outcome from the above initiative has resulted in re-assignment of current TMC IVR API’s to utilise target vendor IVR system technologies in conjunction with web enabled IVR service(Azure). Application development was undertaken for voice and text to speech utilising cloud service API's (GCP) Revision of business processes and integration with related in-house applications for TMC was also undertaken to support the revised business model to enable the Web Traffic Information Reporting Framework (WebTIRF). Architecture supported High Availability, Disaster Recovery and ability to scale to accommodate additional incident lines.

3. EDRMS Strategy Paper

Transport for NSW

Presented July 2018 EDRMS Hosted Azure IaaS

The enterprise vision was to treat Data and Content as a shared Enterprise Asset which outlined the need to connect technology layers with the broader Ecosystem requiring a holistic approach across multiple agency's to EEDRMS capability. Review of the current EDRMS system within the above context (Agency specific), identified a number of options to introduce this capability taking into account current enterprise infrastructure and future target state architecture. From a business perspective moving to an enterprise wide EDRMS facilitates consolidation of existing TfNSW document and record management processes and digital asset storage to achieve an enterprise wide EDRMS. The concepts presented covered current and long term implementation approach using API & Integration Technologies and consolidation of various EDRMS systems with redefined Information Architecture Model.

4. Route Planning Service

Transport Networks

Deployed April 2018 Serv Model SaaS Azure/GCP

A Transport agency trialed with an external vendor to utilise a cloud based SaaS digital route planning design tool. A 12 month pilot subscription was obtained to set up transport cluster network accounts in order to complete the evaluation. The pilot addresses the short term transport scenario planning needs for a number of high profile projects. Assessment of the service was completed to determine fit for purpose scenario route planning for multi modal planning capability across the transport cluster. An assessment framework and functional criteria was defined to facilitate fit-for-purpose digital route planning application integration. A review of internal planning systems was completed to compare digital map draw capability in the event that this capability is provisioned as part of the enterprise wide strategic solution. Outcome from the review provided recommendation for short term and longer term route planning capability in line with enterprise wide network planning strategy across different modes of transport using SaaS hosted on Azure and GCP Map API's.

5. Application Migration

Timetable Planning

Deployed Dec 2017 Model PaaS AWS

As part of the Customer Channel Transformation Program (CCTP) initiative, migration of Timetable planning service was implemented from externally hosted physical infrastructure to a cloud hosted (AWS) solution. The overall objective was to align with future strategic business objectives and minimise any business impact or risk as a result of Application migration and provisioning the planning service as a self managed Service through Software as a Service. This allowed Transport to deliver more effective Transport timetable data to downstream applications (i.e. utilising API end points) and on-demand access to secondary dependant environments (ie SIT, UAT) for data preparation and deployment. Improved efficiencies were obtained as a result of groups application / data producers and consumers within the same operating(cloud)domain. Key elements used within this assignment were; SOA Patterns, responsive and adaptive web technologies.

6. Cloud Service Framework

Australian Taxation Office

Delivered May 2016 Azure/AWS/GCF/IBM/Oracle

Provided Services Management Framework for the ATO to implement cloud based initiatives for multi tenanted, muti-cloud initiatives using tier 1 cloud service providers. (AWS/Azure/GCF/IBM/Oracle etc.) Definition and integration of business support processes and managed service providers to support full cloud service stack. Application integration to cloud and management of Infrastructure to scale as associated with the benefits associated with cloud technologies. Provided knowledge base articles and principle documents to support architecture and design associated with using enterprise grade cloud solutions. Integration of tooling and dependent onsite reporting systems for end to end provision of cloud services.
